A network video recorder is a software program that records video in digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage devices. An NVR is typically deployed in an IP video surveillance system. Network video recorders are distinct from digital video recorders (DVR) as their input is from network rather than a direct connection to a video capture card or tuner.
Video on DVR is encoded and processed at the DVR, while video on an NVR is encoded and processed at the camera, then streamed to the NVR for storage or remote viewing. NVR home surveillance systems are generally wireless, tend to be set up, can be accessed through a web browser and allow the user to be notified by email if an alarm is triggered.
The 4 channel NVR can support up to four cameras, offering plug-and-play POE interfaces and capable of being used standalone or as part of a comprehensive surveillance system. This product has independent configuration for each channel, including resolution, frame rate and bit rate. Each channel supports two compression parameters (continuous and event) which can be configured locally and remotely.
This is a high end professional NVR with four independent POE ports making installation of IP cameras extremely simple without the need and expense of a POE switch or technical expertise. The NVR is a new generation recorder developed independently. Combined with multiple advanced technologies, such as audio and video decoding technology, embedded system technology, storage technology and intelligent technology. NVRs are widely applied in the areas of finance, public security, military, communication, transportation and education.
