The ET 500 domestic sliding gate motors simplified modular design incorporates robust engineering, innovative technology and high quality materials. The gate motor is designed to automate residential sliding gates up to 500 kgs in weight. The gate motor is battery operated and can operate in the event of a power failure.
The ET 500 gate motor is designed to be maintenance free. However, there are some basic installation checks that should be carried out regularly (every three months) which will increase the long term reliability of your equipment and prevent intermittent operation. Isolate the mains supply to the system before cleaning or working with the gate motor. Keep the bottom of the track clear of stones, dirt and obstructions. Ensure that all the rollers are free, sturdy and no wheel bearing has seized.
Ensure that the gate limits are positioned correctly and the gate does not bang into either the open or closed end stops during normal operation. Keep shrubs and vegetation clear of the motor and upper geared rack. Keep the inside of motor housing clear of insects and dust.The ET 500 domestic sliding gate motor is fitted with a maintenance free lead acid battery. However, if the motor has been used on battery back-up for extended periods of time without charging, the life span of the battery can be shortened. It is important that the gate motor is supplied with a fixed household power point and it is not shared where it can be regularly disconnected. Do not oil or lubricate the nylon upper geared rack or spray insecticides on or near the electrical components. Rather spray insecticide around the base on the outside of the motor or place mothballs inside the motor base to minimize the infestation of insects and other creatures.
